These are projects which are also working towards (or have achieved) a free implentation of a MultiValue DBMS, although not Open Source.

Winter is a Multivalue Database designed around a Bytecode interpreter. The interpreter is being designed so that it will be able to emulate any "flavor" of MVDB. Winter runs on either Intel or PPC based Linux distributions.
Bart is MultiValue Database Virtual Machine for Windows.
